Itinerary

1. Departure from Marrakech to Imlil

We pick you up at your hotel or riad and set off for Imlil, a mountain village 64 km from Marrakech.

We cross the Asni gorge, known for its Saturday weekly souk, and continue through a green valley surrounded by mountains.

2. Berber villages of the High Atlas

Along the way you see Berber villages built in terraces on the slopes of the High Atlas, surrounded by fields and greenery. The mud brick of the houses contrasts with the green of the valley.

3. Walk from Imlil to Aremd

Guided walk of approx. 1 h 30 with a local guide along the paths leading to the village of Aremd, inside Toubkal National Park.

If you prefer, you can do it by mule (optional, to be arranged with the guide).

4. Views of the Imlil valley and Toubkal

From the paths you get views over the Imlil valley and Toubkal National Park, with Mount Toubkal in the background. This area was a filming location for the film "Seven Years in Tibet".

5. Berber lunch

Traditional Berber lunch in a local home or at a restaurant overlooking the river.

6. Return to Marrakech

In the afternoon we drive back to Marrakech, with a last look at the High Atlas.
