About this tour
Toubkal National Park is made for people who love nature and the mountains. The trip is based in Imlil, the village that gives access to Mount Toubkal (4,167 metres), and brings together scenery, Berber villages and the culture of the High Atlas.
On the way you cross the Asni gorge, known for its Saturday weekly souk, and a green valley surrounded by mountains. The Berber villages are built in terraces above the fields, and the colour of the mud brick stands out against the green landscape.
Once in Imlil, you go on a walk of around 1 h 30 with a local guide along the paths leading to Aremd, with views over the Imlil valley and Toubkal. If you prefer, you can do the route by mule. This area was a filming location for the film "Seven Years in Tibet".
For lunch, the plan is a traditional Berber meal in a local home or at a restaurant overlooking the river. In the afternoon you head back to Marrakech.
