Everything you need to know before you travel
Here I answer the most common questions about booking, payment and planning. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, message me on WhatsApp or through the contact form and I’ll get back to you quickly.
Booking and payment
How do I book a trip?
You can send me your request through the website form, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp. Before confirming, I tell you in writing the activity, date, meeting point, duration, what’s included and the price. Your booking is secured once you receive my express confirmation.
How much deposit do I need to pay?
We agree on the deposit together for each booking. It can be any amount that shows your commitment to the trip.
How do I pay?
The deposit is sent by Western Union, MoneyGram or, in some cases, to my bank account. The recipient is always and only AIT ISHA Mustapha. The balance is paid in cash when we meet, in any of the currencies accepted in Morocco. Online payment isn’t available for now.
What does the price include?
Each trip clearly lists what is and isn’t included. Prices shown on the site are a guide: the one that counts is the price I confirm to you in writing before you book.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, up to 24 hours before. If the activity has no third-party services, such as accommodation or equipment, cancelling is free and I return your deposit. If it does, each partner’s cancellation policy applies, and I’ll pass it on to you. Full details are in the booking and cancellation terms.
Planning your trip
Where does the trip start? Can you pick me up at my hotel?
I can pick you up wherever you like, as agreed when you book: your hotel, your riad or any spot that suits you.
How many people are in each group?
It depends on the type of trip. When you book, you’ll see the group details alongside the price, with no surprises.
Do you run private or tailor-made trips?
Yes. I organise small-group, private and solo trips, as well as tailor-made programmes. Tell me what you have in mind and we’ll design the route together.
Which languages do you guide in?
I speak fluent Spanish and French, and English too. If you prefer, I can put you in touch with an English-speaking partner guide.
Do you organise city tours?
My speciality is the great outdoors: mountains, desert, trekking and cycling routes. For city visits, I work with licensed partners.
Before you travel
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, it’s required to take part. It should cover accidents, medical assistance and, where relevant, repatriation for the planned activity. I may ask for proof before we start.
Which documents do I need?
Whatever Morocco requires for your nationality, such as a passport or visa. Check with the Moroccan embassy or consulate in your country before you travel. For some activities, the law or a partner may ask for your identification details; if so, I’ll tell you beforehand.
Can children take part?
Yes, with their parents or a guardian. Before you confirm, I explain the conditions of each activity, such as minimum age or fitness level.
Where can I find tips on the best season, fitness level or what to pack?
The blog has guides on the best time for each route, fitness levels, where you sleep on a trek, food and water, cycling routes and plenty of practical tips. Each trip also sets out its own conditions, and if anything is still unclear, just ask me.
During the trip
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If wind, rain or track conditions make it unwise, I adapt the route, postpone it or cancel it. In that case I’ll offer you a new date or try to return what you’ve paid me, depending on the circumstances.
Can I tell you about an allergy or a physical limitation?
Yes, and please do. Let me know before the trip so I can adapt the activity and the food. I only use that information for that purpose.
