About this tour
This private tour starts in Tangier and ends in Marrakech, so you cross Morocco from north to south without doubling back. You pass through the blue city of Chefchaouen, the coastal town of Asilah, Rabat, Meknes, the Roman ruins of Volubilis and Fes, with guided tours in the main cities.
From Fes the scenery changes: the cedar forests of Azrou, the Ziz Valley and the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you ride a camel to a tented camp to watch the sunset and spend the night. Then come the Todra Gorge, the Dades Valley, the Valley of Roses and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.
The final leg crosses the High Atlas over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, with a stop at the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Marrakech you have a full day of guided sightseeing before your airport transfer. You travel in an air-conditioned vehicle with a Spanish-speaking driver, with no one else in your group.

Day 02
Day 2 of 9
Chefchaouen - Asilah - Rabat
After breakfast your guided tour of Chefchaouen begins. The town was founded in 1471 and took in many Muslims fleeing Granada in 1492 and, later, those expelled from Spain. That is why it feels so much like an Andalusian village: white and blue houses, a steep medina on the mountainside and Andalusian-style courtyards.
Then we continue to Asilah, a quiet seaside town, with free time to stroll through its medina of white houses and murals.
In the afternoon we reach Rabat, the country's capital, where you spend the night in a riad or hotel.

We start with a panoramic view from one of the hills around the city. Then we see the bronze gates of the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter (Mellah) and the potters, and continue on foot through narrow lanes full of stalls selling fruit, spices, Berber rugs and handicrafts.
We also visit the madrasas (Koranic schools), the Chouara tannery, Seffarine square, the souks and the Al Quaraouiyine mosque and university, considered the first university in the world. We stop for lunch in Midelt and then in the Ziz Valley to see its palm groves and villages. We pass through Erfoud, at the gateway to the desert and known for its fossils, and arrive in Merzouga.
At the guesthouse we have tea and then set off by camel to the tented camp in the heart of Erg Chebbi, a ride of about an hour and a half. On the way we stop to watch the sunset over the dunes and take photos. The staff carry your luggage to the tent.

Day 08
Day 8 of 9
Guided tour of Marrakech
At 9:30 you leave your riad to meet your guide and see the city's best-known sights.
The first stop is the Bahia Palace, built by Ahmed Ben Moussa in the 19th century, with shaded courtyards and walls of blue mosaics. Next comes the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the largest theological school in the Maghreb and a fine example of Moorish architecture.
You continue through Jemaa el-Fna square, the city's main square, and the artisans' souks: the leather auction, the tinsmiths and the coppersmiths. Then you see the Koutoubia Mosque, one of the oldest and largest in Marrakech. Its name comes from the more than 100 bookstalls that once surrounded it.
After lunch we drive to the Majorelle Garden, known as the Yves Saint Laurent garden, a peaceful place to rest. In the afternoon you walk around the new town to see the contrast with the medina. At the end we drop you at your accommodation or at Jemaa el-Fna square, whichever you prefer.
