About this tour
Essaouira is a coastal town on the Atlantic, known for its blue-toned medina and narrow lanes. It makes a good contrast with Marrakech: more sea air, a slower pace and an increasingly cosmopolitan feel.
During the day you can explore the medina at your own pace, watch harbour life as the fishermen come in with the day's catch, look out to sea from the ramparts and stroll through the souk, where local craftsmen sell their work. The town also has a beach and plenty of good places to eat.
The trip is private: we pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech and bring you back at the end of the day, with a Spanish-speaking driver. The visit to Essaouira does not include a local guide, so you plan your time in town yourself.
