About this tour
The Ourika Valley sits at the gateway to the High Atlas and shows a side of Marrakech that is very different from the city: river, mountains, Berber villages and terraced fields.
The road follows the Ourika river, with a stop in Tnin Ourika, the village that serves as the hub of the region. Further up, the riverbanks are lined with poplars and weeping willows, and the ochre earth stands out against the green of the meadows. On the slopes you can see farming terraces and traditional houses set into the mountainside.
In Setti Fatma you go on a walk of around 1 h 30 to the waterfalls with a local guide. You can dip your feet in the river, chat with local people and, if you like, have a mint tea in a Berber house. The day ends with a traditional Berber lunch at a restaurant overlooking the river before heading back to Marrakech.
